Techattan gives law firms across the United States and United Kingdom access to legally trained, common-law educated support professionals, at a cost structure domestic hiring cannot match.

The Company

Registered in the United States. Delivered Globally.

Techattan is a US-registered company headquartered in Austin, Texas. Your engagement, your contract, and your account management all sit with our US entity.

Our legal support specialists are based in Asia, primarily in Pakistan, working scheduled to your firm’s business hours.

We state this openly because it is the entire basis of what we offer. Firms come to us precisely because this model gives them full-time, legally qualified support professionals at a fraction of domestic staffing cost. There is nothing to discover later.

Leadership

The People You Contract With Are the People Who Run Delivery

Our leadership team moves regularly between the United States and our delivery operations in Asia, spending working time in both.

That is deliberate. The people who negotiate your engagement are the same people who sit with the delivery team, review work quality, and run onboarding for new specialists. There is no account layer separating the person you agreed terms with from the person accountable for the work reaching your desk.

When something needs fixing, you speak to someone who can fix it.

The Foundation

Common Law, Common Language

Pakistan’s legal system is built on the same common-law foundation as the United States and the United Kingdom. The same doctrine of precedent. The same procedural logic. The same drafting conventions. English is the working language of the courts and of legal education.

That combination is rare, and it changes what onboarding looks like. Our specialists do not need to be taught how a legal system works before they can support your matters. They already understand what a pleading is, why a limitation period matters, what makes a document privileged, and how a case file is structured.

PrecedentThe same doctrine of binding authority.
ProcedureThe same procedural logic and case flow.
DraftingThe same drafting conventions and structure.
LanguageEnglish in the courts and in legal education.

What remains is training on your jurisdiction’s procedure and your firm’s workflows — a matter of weeks, not even months.

Our People

We Hire Lawyers, Not Assistants

Every Techattan specialist meets all five of the following before being placed with a firm.

0Applications a month
0Reach placement
0Standards met, always
01 / 05

University of London Law Degree

We shortlist exclusively from candidates holding an LLB from the University of London — a UK-awarded qualification, taught and examined in English, grounded in English common law. It is the same academic foundation as a UK-trained solicitor’s.

02 / 05

Enrolled Advocates

Our specialists are enrolled advocates admitted to practise before the courts in their own jurisdiction, and are bound by professional conduct obligations there. These are practising lawyers, not administrative staff.

03 / 05

Two to Ten Years of Experience

We require a minimum of two years of legal experience. Our specialists range from two to ten years in practice, in chambers, or supporting international law firms. We match seniority to the complexity of your work.

04 / 05

Professional Written English

Legal support is writing work. Every candidate completes a drafting assessment before interview. This is where most applicants are filtered out.

05 / 05

A Selective Process

We receive roughly 200 applications a month. Fewer than ten reach placement.

Qualified Lawyers, Working as Supervised Support

This distinction matters, so we state it directly.

Our specialists are qualified only in their own jurisdiction.

They work as supervised support staff, under your firm’s direction, on tasks your firm defines. Every task has a scope agreed in advance. Work routes back to your supervising attorney or paralegal for review. Anything falling outside the agreed scope is escalated rather than decided.

Our workflows are built to support your obligations when working with non-lawyer assistance. What their legal training gives you is a support professional who understands the work. You are not explaining the basics.

We Work Inside Your Stack

We do not ask firms to change tools. Our specialists work in the systems your firm already runs, and are proficient across the platforms law firms actually use. Where you run something we have not worked in before, we onboard onto it within the first week.

What We Support

Nine Practice Areas, One Standard

Dedicated specialists supporting the operational and documentary work behind your matters.

Research

Research Support From People Trained to Do It

Legal research is where a common-law education pays for itself. Our specialists are trained in case law analysis, statutory interpretation, and the drafting conventions of common-law jurisdictions — which means research support that arrives usable rather than requiring a rebuild.

We support:

  • Case law research and authority verification
  • Statutory and regulatory research
  • Preparation of research memoranda
  • Case summaries and headnoting
  • Citation checking and formatting to Bluebook or OSCOLA
  • Jurisdictional and comparative research
  • Precedent and template library development
  • Background research supporting motions and briefs

All research is delivered for review by your supervising attorney. Our specialists compile, analyse, and summarise; your firm decides.

How We Work With Your Firm

Point 1

One Dedicated Specialist

The person assigned to your firm works only on your matters. They learn your templates, your court preferences, and your partners’ drafting style. Not a shared pool, not a ticket queue.

Point 2

Your Business Hours

Specialists are scheduled to your working day, whether that is Eastern, Central, Pacific, or London.

Point 3

A Named Account Manager

One point of contact who knows your matters and can act on them.

Point 4

Confidentiality From Day One

Every specialist signs a confidentiality agreement before being given access to any file or system.

Point 5

Matched Seniority

We assign specialists based on the complexity of your work, drawing from a team with two to ten years of legal experience.

Next Step

Meet the People Who Would Work on Your Matters

During onboarding we introduce you to the specific specialists assigned to your firm — qualifications, experience, and background — before you commit to anything.

A discovery call takes twenty minutes. We will map the right team structure, scope, and next steps for your practice.
